Donations given to the victims in Haiti
On August 14th, 2021, our sister island Haiti, was severely damaged due to a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Many homes have been destroyed and many people are in need of basic food supplies, clothing and hygiene items.
The Foundation Catholic Education St. Maarten has therefore organized a Food -Drive, in collaboration with The Catholic Haitian Community of our church. It began on Monday, August 30th, 2021 and ended today Friday, September 10th, 2021.
Six of our schools participated. Please find pictures of the donated goods per school.
A special “Thank you “to all the School Managers who promoted this initiative and the parents of our students for their generosity..
In the pictures you will see the president of the Haitian Catholic Community, Mr. Osnel Mombia, Mrs. Carmen Bowers-Lake, Coordinator for Religious Education representing the Foundation Catholic Education St. Maarten, the School Managers , teachers and students of the participating schools.
