Words of Welcome from Executive Director, Mrs. Lilia Aventurin-Hodge
Opening Speech: School Year 2025-2026
Theme: “We are Called to Embrace God’s Amazing Grace”
Students, staff and parents of our school community.
As we gather once again at the threshold of a new school year, our hearts are filled with gratitude, for the gift of life, for blessing of the community, and for the opportunity to grow together in faith, wisdom, and love.
Last year we journeyed together under the theme, “We are Called to Pray without Ceasing.” Through moments of joy and challenge, we learned to anchor ourselves in prayer. We discovered that prayer is not just a ritual, but a relationship, a lifeline that draws us closer to God and one another. We prayed in silence and in song, in classrooms and churches, in sorrow and in celebration. And in doing so, we opened our hearts to God’s presence in our daily lives.
This year, we are invited to take the next step in our spiritual journey. Our new theme, “We are Called to Embrace God’s Amazing Grace,” is both a continuation and a deepening of our faith. It is a call to recognize that the same God we prayed to without ceasing is a God who meets us with boundless mercy, unconditional love, and transforming grace.
Grace is not something we earn. It is a gift freely given. It is the gentle whisper that reminds us we are loved even when we fall short. It is the strength that lifts us when we are weak, the light that guides us when we are lost, and the peace that fills us when we surrender our worries to God.
To embrace God’s amazing grace is to live with open hands and open hearts. It is to forgive as we have been forgiven. It is to see the goodness in others, even when it’s hard. It is to walk humbly, love deeply, and serve joyfully.
This year, let us be a community that reflects grace in our words, our actions, and our choices. Let us create classrooms where kindness is the norm, not the exception. Let us build friendships rooted in compassion and respect. Let us face challenges with courage, knowing that God’s grace is sufficient for every need.
As we begin this new chapter, may we carry with us the spirit of unceasing prayer and step boldly into the embrace of God’s amazing grace. May this year be one of growth, healing, and hope, for each of us, and for our entire school family.
Welcome to School Year 2025-2026. May it be a year of grace upon grace.
May the Grace and Peace from God be with you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lilia Aventurin-Hodge
